Strive disclosed a purchase of 2,822 bitcoin in an October 14 SEC filing. The transactions took place on October 12 and 13 at an average price of approximately $83,266 per bitcoin, including fees and expenses.

Multiplying the disclosed quantity by that rounded average gives an estimated purchase value of $235 million. This is a calculation from the filing’s figures, rather than a separately reported exact transaction total.

Warrant exercises bring in capital

The same filing reported expected gross proceeds of $369.2 million from exercises of traditional warrants over the two-day period. Those exercises corresponded to 13,674,703 Class A shares.

Strive said none of the traditional warrants issued in connection with its PIPE transaction remained outstanding at the close of October 13.

What readers should distinguish

The Bitcoin purchase and the warrant proceeds are separate figures. The filing does not say that all the new proceeds were spent on bitcoin, nor does it provide a forecast for future purchases.

A company’s acquisition price also differs from Bitcoin’s subsequent market price. Read our guide to market capitalization and fully diluted valuation for more context on separating token valuation from corporate financing.
